"The past 7 weeks have been difficult for me. There are so many changes to my daily routine in my home, neighborhood, city and state. Between social distancing and not being able to see our friends and loved ones daily, it is important to keep relationships together and to stay in touch with friends and family.
Everyday, I am thankful that I have my parents and sister beside me. There are many who are not as fortunate. I think about those who are really hurting; people who have lost friends or relatives, first responders and their families who worry about their safety everyday, and those who are isolated from everyone because of their situation.
I am excited to stay connected and communicate with those struggling. And, I am honored to bring this amazing gift to Atlanta. With PenPalsForLife, we can reach out to the elderly and medically fragile, create new friendships and let our new friends know that they are not alone; rather alone together."
"During quarantine, it has been difficult to understand and grasp the sudden changes in the world. Staying at home everyday is difficult and a big change to my daily schedule. I miss seeing my friends and extended family but I am thankful that I can keep in touch with them through FaceTime. It makes me sad to think of others at home alone with nobody to talk to, eat meals with, play games with, or even just sit with. I’m excited for the opportunity to bring PenPalsForLife to Atlanta. It’s important to keep in touch and communicate with others especially during this uncertain time. I want to connect with people who are isolated and lacking daily contact. If I can brighten someone’s day, it will make mine."
